Sticks, people and responsibility
At the core, I feel like people are trying to be as productive as possible, and because of that, they take in too much information and try to apply them even if it’s not always needed. It’s a way of making themselves feel better and believing they are doing good by adapting but clouded in the illusion.
The sooner we realise that we don’t need it, that’s when we will start making real progress. Because it’s the “people” who forge a company, and for the same reason, companies or organisations don’t always need that. But I’m still conflicted about what is right and wrong regarding cultural principles.
From a perspective, it is very similar to why monarchs used to adopt religions in their kingdom or call certain gods or deities as their watchers and so on. You need fewer sticks to control people, and also, the responsibility is different to them.
